Noosa Heads is the headland town on the Sunshine Coast. Noosa National Park’s coastal track is the essential free walk, from the main beach around the headland to Alexandria Bay. The Hastings Street beach is the busy one. It is a detour off the Bruce Highway, so a fast itinerary that only counts highway kilometres will skip it. Keep it when the trip is about beaches rather than pure distance.
