Mining jobs without experience
Camp, labour hire and offsider pathways that are actually realistic.
Realistic first roles are usually camp support, housekeeping, kitchen, utility, some labour hire and driller’s offsider — not dump truck.
- Mine site utility worker — Little or no mining experience. Reliability and physical fitness matter more than tickets.
- Kitchen hand / catering — Hospitality helps a lot. Mining experience is not required.
- Housekeeping / mine camp cleaner — Cleaning or hotel housekeeping transfers well.
- Peggy / site support — No mining ticket required; being useful and safe-minded is the bar.
- Labourer — Construction or farm labour helps. True “walk-up” roles still want a medical and often a White Card.
- Trades assistant — Workshop, construction or farm mechanical work is a genuine advantage.
