Job Description

M2 Fire Pty Ltd is hiring a qualified carpenter for ongoing casual work on Sydney building and fit-out sites. You will work on framing, first and second fix, fit-out and general carpentry alongside our site team. Hours vary with the programme — typical weeks are around 38 hours. Pay is set for the Sydney employee market, above the Building and Construction General On-site Award (MA000020) tradesperson floor (about $31.95/hr full-time / ~$39.94/hr casual from 1 July 2026). Sydney PAYG carpenters commonly earn around $38–$50/hr depending on experience and site. This is metro Sydney work. It does not count toward Working Holiday 88-day specified work.

Responsibilities

Framing, first and second fix carpentry, fit-out, hanging doors, skirting and general site carpentry. Work to drawings and site instructions. Keep a tidy, safe work area.

Requirements

Trade qualification or equivalent on-site carpentry experience. Own basic tools. White Card. Able to work on Sydney sites. Driver’s licence preferred. Must have the right to work in Australia.

Visa Information

Sydney metro — does not count toward WHV 88-day specified work.
